Why sodium hypochlorite is used in soft washing.

Sodium Hypochlorite is a chemical that is used to remove stains from fabrics, floors, and surfaces. Most stains in our homes are organic, which means they are made up of bacteria, algae, mold, or moss. Sodium hypochlorite kills these organic compounds, as well as microscopic spores.

Sodium hypochlorite is effective in removing algae.

Sodium Hypochlorite is an oxidizer, which is why it is used for disinfecting municipal water supplies. It is essentially table salt with an extra oxygen atom that readily bonds with other compounds, thereby "oxidizing" them. When used correctly, it is safe for the environment. However, if it is not diluted properly, it can cause serious damage to plants and other plant matter. Therefore, you should only use it in proper amounts and make sure you follow the instructions carefully.  Sodium Hypochlorite is an effective chemical for removing algae. It is easy to make and has an excellent cleaning power. It is also biodegradable, making it a good alternative to bleach for washing. When used in the proper concentration, it can be used effectively to remove algae and bacteria. In soft washing , one percent sodium hypochlorite is sufficient to clean vinyl siding, stucco siding requires 3-4% and roof cleaning requires 5-6%.

Sodium hypochlorite is effective in removing mold

Sodium hypochlorite is a bleach that is very effective in removing mold in soft washing. It can be found in poor supply stores. It is a low-porosity solution that has a chlorine base and is safe to use on many surfaces. It is also very effective at killing mold and mildew, and it slows down them mold from returning to the surface.  Soft washing is a popular cleaning method for exterior surfaces. This process involves spraying cleaning detergents and water on the surface, then rinsing it off to remove contaminants. Sodium hypochlorite has superior cleaning capabilities when used in combination with specially formulated surfactants. The bleach kills bacteria, mold, and algae on the surface, while the surfactants lift dirt and rinse it away.  Mold is a fungi that grows on water. Unlike other types of bacteria, mold cannot derive its energy from sunlight, and needs to feed on water to grow. Molds are opportunistic and send out microscopic spores in search of a suitable environment. Typically, molds are growing in water-damaged surfaces, so any leaky faucet or appliance that gets wet can result in mold growth.

Sodium hypochlorite is safe

Sodium hypochlorite is an effective detergent for soft washing. While the solution may cause damage to metal surfaces, it is much less harmful than the spraying of 4,000 psi pressure washers. Once the solution is rinsed off, it turns into a harmless salt.  A typical recipe for soft washing calls for a solution of 1% sodium hypochlorite. It is also used for swimming pool chlorine and typically has a strength of 12 to 15%, which is 4.5 times the strength of household bleach. When diluting sodium hypochlorite, it is as thin as water, making it easy to spray onto the surface. A surfactant may also be added to increase foaming and clinging.  Sodium hypochlorite is a fungicide, oxidizing bleach, and disinfectant that is often found in tap water. It is safe to use as long as it is mixed with specially formulated soft-washing surfactants. However, it should not be used with any other chemicals that do not meet the approved use standards.  If you are looking to have your house soft washed contact House Wash Pa at 484-881-2713.
