How to properly clean stucco siding?
When cleaning stucco siding it is important to use the proper bio-degradable soaps while using low pressure. Our Soft wash
method uses a maximum of 300 psi to safely remove the black algae and mold from the sensitive stucco.
The process is as follows:
1st) Pre wet the stucco and vegetation
2nd) Apply the soap and allow proper dwell time
3rd) Rinse
4th) Apply neutralizer
5th) Apply Liquid fertilizer to the plant through their leaves which adds back critical nutrients.
Stucco siding should be cleaned every two years to maintain its best appearance.
Proper stucco cleaning is critical to maintain its aesthetic appeal as well as extend its serviceable lifespan. The stucco should be routinely cleaned in order to prevent the build-up of dust, dirt and other elements that may cause surface staining or discoloration. For best results and to avoid potential damage, a method known as “soft washing” should be employed, using low pressure combined with professional grade soaps. There are also several benefits that stucco cleaning can provide, such as improved paint adhesion for better coverage and protection against organic staining agents. Regardless of the stucco type, a thorough cleaning by trained professionals once every few years will keep the stucco looking like new. #housewashpa
